Dr. Joyce Chieng graduated from the University of Otago Dental School in 2013. After gaining valuable experience in Otago and the Waikato region, she moved to Auckland to be closer to family.
She has worked across a range of dental settings, including rural emergency services, private practices, and university teaching roles, before joining Epsom Dentists in Auckland. Dr. Joyce has a special passion for general and cosmetic dentistry, with a particular interest in advanced restorative care, periodontal management, implant restorations, and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments.
Committed to providing the highest standard of dental care, Dr. Joyce completes over 80 hours of professional development each year. She has furthered her training in implants, gum care, oral surgery, root canal treatments, and facial aesthetics to ensure her patients receive modern, evidence-based care.
Known for her warm, caring nature and excellent communication skills, Dr. Joyce takes the time to listen to her patients’ needs and explain all treatment options clearly. She believes that great dentistry is built on trust, comfort, and attention to detail — helping patients not only achieve healthy teeth, but confident, beautiful smiles.
Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay, Dr. Joyce is proud to care for Auckland’s diverse community and welcomes patients of all backgrounds.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys living an active lifestyle through yoga, Pilates, walking and indoor cycling. She also loves exploring new restaurants around Auckland, creating nutritious recipes, painting, and flower arranging.
